Railvolvers are rail gun revolvers. These multi-function small arms can fire rail pellets as well as shells. The unique design allows for shells to be loaded into any of the six chambers, but if the wielder fires an empty chamber the weapon will shoot a rail pellet instead of just going “click”.

Rail pellets are tiny, 1mm beads, held in a magazine in the grip similar to an automatic pistol and loaded magnetically.   Rail fire mode is fully automatic.

Shells are more expensive than rail pellets, and usually reserved for special purpose. The open-barrel allows shells to be reloaded or swapped. Anti-personnel, and explosive rounds are commonly used. Relatively uncommon due to their expense, guided rounds are able to follow a target around corners. The most notorious ammunition are Black Bullets, which are prohibitively expensive because they contain tiny Void Inducers and Incarnations.
